Old Deviantart dated Reddit, facebook, tumblr, twitter, livejournal, google plus, and stumble upon, so either anonymous or dying folk, mostly.
Interesting to note that facebook is under heavy attack with crowd publicity campaigns the last few years, and to look at the other affiliations deviantart had, sort of. (including hosting apples big campaigns.)

It’s handy if you don’t have a niche to see what of your randomness is doing well. Simple, cuts out a lot of detail, probably all you need for just that platform. For anything major, google analytics is just better cause it shows how people end up on your pages like ‘buy this thing.’
You can pretty much cruise your stats page and see what is popular
(In my case, llamas. Llamas are suuuuper popular. They, out of all the random shit I made, are (from deviantarts stats) the top majority of all the posts)
So if you plug it in and don’t know what you should focus on and something shows up that’s just real popular, narrow it down to that.
The other cool thing, if you are sort of competitive, or interested in pushing someone in specific up, you can benchmark yourself against four other people and see their numbers. This was of interest to me because the artist that reminded me of my sister, I can see her numbers easily and if what I do helps her on that page.
